Distribution outside our region: There are documented observations from across much of Victoria except the far north-west and the alpine region, Atlas of Living Australia and iNaturalist. Outside Victoria this species occurs in eastern NSW and Queensland and south-eastern South Australia.

Larval Host Plants: Box Mistletoe, Amyema miquelli, and Drooping Mistletoe, A. pendula.

Larval association with ants: Larvae and pupa often associated with ants from the genera of Iridomyrmex, Anonychomyrma, Crematogaster and Froggattella.

Adult Flight Times in Victoria: In some parts of its range (particularly around Melbourne), two generations may be completed annually – with adults in flight around mid-spring and in late summer/early autumn. Adults seen in flight in Victoria in almost all months of the year, but with highest numbers from October to February.

Conservation Status:

Other Notes: Probably moderately common in Mount Alexander Shire, however, may be difficult to observe because they are often high in the forest canopy.

Adults known to undertake hill-topping.
